MAN, MONKEY AND CIVILIZATION

Now, there is summer. So, naturally, there is shortage of water. Municipal corporation is supplying water after two day’s gap. So,at the time of water supply, there is rush on public tap. Many times there are quarrels, which sometimes turn into fighting. In summer, in every city, town and village, this picture is common. But whenever I see such quarrel, I remember a real incident. In a summer, we all family members were out of station. So there was lock to our house. On our terrace, there was a lotus plant in a big  pot. In that pot, there was much water. On that day, a group of six monkeys came on our terrace by jumping from one terrace to another. They were thirsty. They saw the water in that lotus pot. They drank that water. But to drink that water , they made pairs and at a time only two monkeys drank water and others waited silently for their turn. And they all drank the water in a way that not a single monkey even touched or harmed the lotus plant.  Though we weren't at home to see this incident, my neighbouring friend shooted whole scene and sent me it. So I have a doubt in my mind that who is civilized-- man or monkey?
In Seria, in last week, there were chemical bomb-blasts. Many residents died and remaining - specially small children suffered much from it. Only to get power, mankind is becoming so cruel that they have no value of other mankind's lives. While in the forest, as the monkeys can climb on tree, they can see first that any tiger or lion is coming in their area. And they start gibbering loudly to aware all animals. In Fact the monkeys on the tree are safe. Yet, they try to save other animals also. So who can be said civilized?
Some days ago, a video became viral. In that video, a man is beating a monkey with stick till that monkey’s death. And another person, without saving that monkey, shooted the whole scene and sent it to others. Is this our civilization?

ON JANMASHTAMI

It is believed that God always behaves ideal. So almost our all myths when tell us about God’s incarnation as a human being, they draw His character as ideal in His childhood and in young age also. Only,God Krishna is shown as behaving according to the age like a human being. From His childhood and in His throughout whole life, there is a mischievousness, which is very much liked by all human beings. Perhaps so, everyone feels more attachment for Krishna. Because, even in old age also even an ideal and disciplined human being likes mischievousness, though he himself could never behave so. In childhood, Krishna played fully with his friends, even stole curd and butter from milkmaid's houses with friends. At the same time, being God, he killed many monsters also. In young age, He played “Rasleela”with the milkmaid's. When He helped Arjuna to marry with His sister Subhadra, very mischievously he deceived Balaram. It means God Krishna is the best combination of God and human be...

Colours of the days

Yesterday,I met our family friend -a retired person- and as formality, I asked him that how he was, he started to complain about his retired life. His main complaint was that for him now every day was similar to another,no change, no zest. Even on festival also except for some time, the remaining day was very dull for him. While speaking, he referred that after retirement, his all days are of grey colour, and yes, I also agreed with him on the point that days also have colours and various shades.                       Even though grammatically,a day is a concept and so it has no colour, no shape,no size. Again logically, day after day comes and it makes a week, month,a year and our life goes on. So a day doesn't differ from other days. Yet practically we have experience that if on a day, the climate is cloudy for the whole day, everyone feels dull, and as grey colour is symbol o...

CREATIVITY

There is four years old Mini living near my house. Yesterday she came to my house and took me to her home forcibly to see her Rangoli. In fact there were only four five zigzag lines to which she was calling as peacock . But for the first time, she had drawn Rangoli, and there was great happiness on her face. When I saw her Rangoli and was praising her to encourage her, her grandmother came in that room with a delicious dish of banana pury. She told me that she had made that dish for the first time, and everyone in their house liked it very much. There was also the same happiness on her face like her granddaughter. It was the happiness of creativity. Yes! Creativity in every field gives the same happiness to everyone. That's why the poor person when builds or prepare a hut with his own hands, there is this happiness on his face as if he has built “Taj- Mahal”. If such creativity is praised by people, that artist's happiness increases. But he gets same happiness from his creatio...
